About This Course
Academic Writing for University Studies aims to strengthen students’ English language writing literacy, equipping them with effective writing skills necessary for university studies. The course includes instructions on academic essay structure and academic language.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- produce a well-structured essay with introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion;
- construct effective thesis statements and topic sentences;
- write a coherent essay with relevant evidence and elaboration;
- apply effective cohesive devices;
- employ academic language features in writing.
