About Course

The need for businesses is to understand concepts, theories and applications of Quality and Process Management into different business processes. Six Sigma is the advanced contemporary approach to achieve business continuous processes improvement and build competitive advantage for business sustainability.

This module is to serve dual purposes: (1) to equip students with the knowledge of the concepts and the theories of contemporary quality and process management, and (2) to provide the opportunities for students to practice those qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques that are critical for the quality and process analysis and improvement in the business context.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. identify and explain the key concepts of quality and process management;
  2. design system procedures for the control of business processes;
  3. use qualitative tools and techniques to analyze quality/process problems; and
  4. use quantitative tools and techniques to analyze quality/process problems.
